Keep in mind the Audio Note silver and the Deuland are both made by Jensen of Denmark.I also liked the Jensen silver foil but the price is outrageous even when I buy direct from them.
I have caps from most every so called boutique manufacturer including V-cap teflons and Jensen copper foils and without going into a smear about it,I always end up going back to the Russian paper in oil, and Russian Teflon, and Russian Silver Mica..I also use a lot of Vitamin Q pios when available and I also like to put Solen Film and Tin foil in the mix..
Take a look at these caps in this link and tell me where you are going to get this kind of quality for this kind of price. You aren't and you can trick the caps with small .01 bypasses to make them do different things..
These are real copper foil paper in oil caps and they are hermetically sealed and they have slammed many of the boutique caps and they are cheap to buy because they are military surplus..I don't need to tell you about the quality of Russian Aluminum and other raw materials..

I have not tried those yet but i must say that other russian caps are da bomb!
Hi Mike.
these cap are not copper foil paper in oil . the seller stated clearly they are " The conductor is made of aluminum foil and the dielectric is oil saturated paper "
or did you open one up and that is why you know ?
Pete
The seller is wrong because some of them are.My daughter and I took a couple apart and you could see that the first layer of the wrap was copper..

How do you tell from the markings on that style of russian cap what the materials are? The ky-40's and the Teflons and silver mica are easy to spot but what about the others? Seems to be a lot of different types.
Dear Michael,
Your information is 2 decades out of date, Jensen have not made our capacitors for 20 years and the construction and materials are proprietary to our in house made signal caps.
Sincerely,
Peter
Don't you use mylar and oil in some of them?

Dear Michael,
All our copper foil signal capacitors are made with mylar and copper/oil.

Edwin
I use lots of Russian KSG .1uf 500v silver micas and I also the SSG which are the 350v version and they are fantastic.
