I like what he's doing, it's very clean, but there are a couple areas I'd do differently. One is the safety margin of the B+ caps. He's measuring almost 440V on caps rated 450V. That's much too close. I also see that the hum pot is only accessible from the bottom. Maybe a minor detail, but I prefer things like this to be adjustable from the top or back. The NFB is also a concern. He's applying 20-21dB of feedback, and that strikes me as excessive in a UL amplifier. Makes me wonder if that's the reason for the band-aids on the screens (or perhaps it's the lack of a compensation capacitor in the feedback network). It's easy to get carried away with feedback in the search for lowest measurable distortion, especially when you're staring at a rack full of high-end test gear. Other than those points, it's a terrific looking amp, certainly much better than most one-off efforts.

Join his youtube group because Dave is a really nice guy and he loves input from everyone..He's a retired aerospace engineer and he lives in EL Paso married to a beautiful lady from Mexico who teaches school but has been here 35 years.Anyway, we talk on the phone quite a bit and he always kids around about how he is a minority being Anglo in a town that is heavily Hispanic..He loves it tho.
