$750.00 is a good price this Otari MTR-10 deck?

Follow Ups:
I've decided not to go after this unit. I will however, refurbish my Otari MX 5050 III and Revox A-77 and hopefully these two units will last me for another 10 years or so.
Although, the Revox PR99 was very tempting at $399. but I digress at this point.

I've seen them for less (a few for around $400) but if that one is as minty looking on top, I'd say go for it.
Many of the cheaper ones were pick-up only. If you're going to have to ship that monster, consider the shipping costs (something that heavy really needs to have a crate built and shipped on a pallet).

Take your own advice and get a Studer A80.

Jst curious, ... Do you find it interesting that some folks have no problem accepting and/or even paying $750 and up for a consumer deck like a Technics 1500 or 1700?
Link's at the bottom.
Cheers good luck,
Bobbo :-)
I'm thinking of replacing my MX5050 II with it. But, I'm wondering whether it's an upgrade or lateral move in terms of sound quality. It does have the Dolby SR option that I do need to consider, plus they do looked awesome.

Wow. It comes with Dolby-SR !!!!!
But what about the asking price? Is it reasonable for this deck eh?
Thanks.
