Hi all, I want to replace my plastic electric outlet covers with metal ones, like the ones on the link. Could this cause ground loops or hum in my audio rig? Any electrical danger? Thanks.
Follow Ups:
So a metal plate on the outlet keeps some junk radiation from emanating from the wall area. IF this matters to you then yes do it. If a person thinks this is ridiculous, then don't bother. Just sayin'
I have switched to solid brass outlet covers with a thin layer of blu tack on the backside areas to dampen.
If you really want to wig out, put some quartz crystals inside the outlet box. And wrap the backside of the outlet/receptical with plumbers Teflon tape around top side bottome side top etc.. so the side wire/screws are covered Crazy as Hell, but for some folks it is an interesting tweak. For others it is a huge laugh factory. your choice.
They are pretty I guess.
