I owned a pair of Jubilees. I liked them pretty well they are very clean and pretty detailed, but found them to be dynamically reserved, and somewhat lacking in spatial airiness compared to some others. They can be gotten pretty cheap, used. All in all, I'd rate them about as highly as the GR Paradox 1(the Jubilee is a little less colored, but the GR is more dynamic), which is much cheaper when new. Considering their cost/construction/parts quality, I'd say I was a little disappointed in the Jubilee. I've not heard the JEM; maybe they would help out. If the price is right, though, they might be a fine system.
Follow Ups:
i agree that the jubilees as stand alone full range speakers don't do it at all. with the jem woofers crossed over at 400hz the stress is removed from the jubilee midrange and it becomes much more transparent, detailed and dynamic. you'd have to hear the entire system to appreciate it. the tweeter is almost as good as the esotar but it ain't and in my opinion if the system could be improved that would have been the place for the designer to have put the extra bucks.
