So i picked up a pair of Kinetic Audio Trapezium Speakers. They are some huge monster speakers. The company has shutdown so i haven't been able to spot on any information on them. I'm looking to find out if anyone has any specs or history knowing about these speakers. Also i pulled the drivers out because the foam has dry rotted so I'm sending them in to get re-foamed. The cabinets are real nice rosewood and seem pretty sturdy. If anyone can please help.

.....they were 4K in the late 1980s, though a new pair would cost 40K. Certainly that pricing is venturesome to say the least.Specs were 12-22K, 89dbspl at 1 watt, crossovers at 90, 350, 3.5K, and 7K. Dimensions 60X20X16, weight 205 pounds. If I can be of any additional assistance please feel free to ask.
You should easily be able to refoam the drivers yourself, and while they are out, if you intend to keep them, I would replace any electrolytic capcitors in the crossover and clean all of those potentiometers.

Thats what i'm basing off the price as well but im geting mixed responses id like to find out how much they would go for used in todays time.
the vintage of the speakers will determine the original price. The 1985 Audio Annual shows them at $2598 per pair. Keep in mind, a pair of Klipshorns, in standard finish, sold for $2800 per pair in '85. Since he has the drivers out of the speakers the date codes should be easy to access. That's why I find the pricing venturesome, not to mention the 12HZ low frequency limit in the specs. But one never knows.
