No, no, those are Ritz Crackers! :-P
Did you seriously only have only one amp?
What were all those vintage amps on the cover page.

Ha, I wish I owned all that gear!
That cover image was taken in a really cool, vintage Hi-Fi store called The Sound Gallery.
Yes, I only really do own one amp! :-/
Wish that was my collection
Hey Geezerrocket - you REALLY must try a set of Genalex B759 tubes for the linestage of your Sherwood. I was using a set of RCA black plates. And the Genalex tubes are the some vintage quality sound but only much clearer and overall - better. I know you are use those tele's. But give them a try. It will save some burn time on your more precious vintage stock.

If you owned only one pair of speakers, what would it be? Curious!
Cheers

Hi, Bill,
Interesting question!
Like a lot of us, I guess, I've owned an embarrassing number of different speakers over the years. All have had their strengths and weaknesses - there is no "perfect" speaker.
But I've come to realize recently that from many of these ownership experiences, I've refined my understanding of what's important to me in a speaker. So it has been an education.
I wish I were in the financial position to do what some people do, which is to own several different pairs of speakers simultaneously and switch them out from time to time to change up the listening experience. Unfortunately, I'm not able to do that.
But to get back to your question - I am currently in the 60 day home trial period on a pair of Spatial M4 open baffle speakers. They are not considered fully broken and until they have 100 hours on them, and I probably have somewhere around 40 hours, but I think they are quite remarkable and will post a full review within the next few weeks. They (or their bigger brother, the M3) may be the end of the search for me - we'll see.
I will add that if I had the financial resources, there are some SET friendly speakers that I would love to hear in my room, such as the DeVore Orangutan O/96 or the big Coincident models, but they are way beyond my "affordability" point. Of course, one of the big Audio Note monitors would be nice, too!
Well; If your only going to own one amp, Audio Note is a great pick :)
