I have supravox 215-2000 exc full range field speakers with 100db sensitivity (attached photo).
What would be best tube amplifier (or integrated/receiver) for these.
I am considering scott, pilot, klangfilm/siemens, heathkit integrated amp, sherwood 8000 receiver so on.I would very appreciate your advice/recommendation under $1000 range or reasonably priced 300b/2a3/45 amps over $1000.
I think about 10w/c might be sufficient (the seller used custom made 300b single integrated amp and sounded really great)
thank in advance.

Thank you very much for your advices and recommendations.
I am living here temporally for several months and my set up is temporally too.
I am going back to home with speakers and looking for decent used amp for them.
300B is strong contender and I have one in home. I am going to try it.
If I can change several tubes in one amp, it will be very interesting.
I have experience with T-class amp (trends ta 10.1). It sounded really great and much better than expectation for that price. JBL sounded like british rogers for strings. It sounded so smooth and my son use it now.
I am interested in Bottlehead Paramount 300B. I will check them.
From my short experience, I found less watt amps sound better as long as those amps can sufficiently handle speaker.
I also, consider Allnic amp which is less expensive than USA when I go back to home in korea. Recently, Allnic made speakers with supravox alnico units so I assume their amp will sound good for my supravox too.
Thanks again to all of you!
James
I have the Bottlehead B-Glow monoblocks. Predecessor to Paramount.
I will own them for life, and will one day will them to one of my children.
They are a phenomenon to behold.
Enjoy thermionic bliss! :)
The Bottlehead amps are wonderful. If you can pony up the money DO go for it! I've always lusted after one of those but the amp kit is around $1700. Out of my budget.
You will need a preamp of sorts and it is a DIY project, ie tinkering will be a part of your listening life. Check out a Goldpoint passive attenuator.
I'm currently building this very amp. See over at the amp/preamp forum.
One hell of a good sounding amp with a long track record. With more than enough power for any situation that you may currently have. Or for anything you may nave later on down the road. Also flexible with a wide variety of output tubes you can use later on.

Given that you liked the sound of them with a 300B amp I would look for one of those. Just by the looks of those speakers, they would benefit from the best quality tube amp you can afford. It's better to spend more money now and be satisfied than spend less and want something better down the road....

THIS, when powered by a 12 to 24 Volt 5a Laptop smps brick (~10$) ebay again) will produce sound qualities that Some 1000$ amps cannot equal... True actually.
Not much of a $$ risk involved either.
LOW on bragging rights though.
300B single ended-triode bliss.
All 8 watts of it.
Many great amps built around that design concept.
Audition those with 300B tubes and I bet you will liiiiiiiiike! :)
Cheers,
Presto

Have you considered the Bottlehead Paramount 300B?

It's unclear to me the price of Bottlehead Paramount 300B monoblocks. Are they $1699 a pair or $1699 each? The title says a kit pair, but the confusing thing is the quantity selector.
Thanks,
John Elison
It seems pretty clear that it is for a pair, but if you have doubts, give them a call or send an email.
