See you put pair of Corns up for sale, at the time it sounded like you found a "just right" experience. Moved on or up or as you said, just bored already?
Follow Ups:
I had a fondness for my previous speakers, the Reference 3A Grand Veenas. An extremely good deal came up for another pair, so I went for it. The Cornscalas are sold and will be with their new owner tomorrow. They are very good and do many things extremely well. But I missed the resolution and inner detail of the GV. So here I am again.

I am keeping one pair of my Ref 3as (Master Control MMC) and selling one pair (L'integrale). I have upgraded the tweeter in both but the upgrade to the Be tweeter on the monitors was a massive step up in overall realism from the speakers. If the GVs you got don't have the Be tweeter think about it down the line.
I will be getting a pair of Odeon horn speakers, which are among the least "horny" sounding of all the horns I have heard. The bass is also horn loaded for a system sensitivity of 98db/watt. I plan to make those my new main speakers and use the MMCs in the secondary bedroom system.
Although I am sure the Be tweeter makes a difference on the monitors, I have heard mixed reviews about it vs. the Murata. I think the high frequency extension, air and detail are superb now. I don't want to upset that apple cart for something that might be better, or might be just different.

If you don't like them you can blame it on me. If you do you can thank me.
Can you share any details about the construction?
Mike,
So what's up with you lately?

Same old, really. Been mostly lurking here and focusing on other ridiculous hobbies.
Though, I'm proud to say that I've only switched speakers twice in the past 10 years. Guess I really haven't heard anything better than what I already have. It's a good place to be. :)
They nail the big dynamic sweeps extremely well. Other types of speakers nail microdynamics or "resolution and inner detail", perhaps at the expense of macrodynamics.
Edp is right, I think. It's nice to have a stable of different speakers, if possible.
Whom makes Corn speakers?
... (forgive the corny humor!) LaScala hybrids...
Very cool. I have always enjoyed the cornerhorn, la scala and cornwall speakers. What gear are you guys using?
You can see my system listed. But as with all things Horn, they love tubes.

Home made, based around a Klipsch Cornwall bass section and (originally) a Klipsch LaScala mid and HF section.
Have the right club for the lie and distance.
One for the big sound/large dynamic pieces or even "cause I feel like that today" and another for inner detail and resolution.
But it does seem that your are orbiting around the "first order, no order" topology more than any other type of topology.
My experiences with Reference marks are mostly limited, and overall rewarding, but the run full range/unfiltered carbon fiber driver ultimately makes me restless. But that is an area (high strength rigid upper frequency resonances) I'm very sensitive too. And I get real itchy when it happens with compression drivers too!. Love/hate.
Thanks once again for letting us live vicariously through your experiences (and wallet)
