I have not posted a review here on AA in two-and-a-half years. During that time, many Inmates have dropped out. Thus, many of you currently on AA may not know how a Luminator review works.
You click on the following links, preferably in order. Warning: they are NSFW. Because I cover the angles, facets, and features the "professional" media turn a blind eye to, these posts will arm you with enough information, so that you will know right away, if this product should be eliminated from your consideration. With this information, you can weigh your tastes, timeline, and budget, and decide if the product is worthy of an audition.

These links are all from my homepage, the Xanga blog. My close audio friends have already viewed them, provided me with feedback. In fact, the latter links reflect my readers' input. In general, I do not make any further posts to my reviews on AA. I respond to individuals via e-mail.

Some people on here, including me, search this site on the company monitored network. I sure hope I don't get a call from IT!
No one wants to see you're overweight zit infested wife's behind! Disgusting.
Part 7 includes some particularly disgusting details.
So when is Totem going to post this review on their website?
Not sure, though, what that has to do with audio??
Speakers seem overpriced, but, hey, if I just had a small space and the cash, why not?
Are Totem loudspeakers considered affordable at all?? I liked the sound of Mite's I heard once.
I think this "review" sums up Totems pretty well....
"Plenty of euphonic distortion. Rolled off highs, bloated mids, flabby bass, and imaging to die for... If you crave a warm, liquid presentation then look no further - these little Totems are right up your alley!"This is the impression that those photos and at least half of the text provide.

What was this about? Pictures of pimples, asses and large bellies mixed with vague references about the Totems. I'll need a couple of Xanax to sleep tonight.
f'n creepy.
especially nudity
And butt zits...
Dang! That was gross!
I get the whole "real human as art" thing. With so much airbrushing and photo-shopping, I get how the average human form can appear even shocking after the relentless conditioning by Hollywood and internet media.
I just don't like it when it's packaged as sort of an artistic drive-by contained within an audio review...
Speaker Speaker Speaker BAM naked person.
hahaha you got me.
Oh, Butt Zit. Nice. I'll stop reading now...
Cheers,
Presto
... that I'm not married.
Those seem like pretty nice speakers, though.
my reaction is "MY EARS, MY EARS!". This is the first time that I yell "MY EYES, MY EYES!".

Me as well Genungo!
I've enjoyed your quirky yet informative blog reviews over the years, and it's nice to see that you're still at it and still digging the Totem products. Our local dealer seemingly dropped them, and you don't seem to hear much about them on this forum anymore. My only experience with Totems so far were some Hawks both in a very nice dealer listing room, and in a nice home system of a friend of mine, but I really like them.

Oops, as one reader pointed out, I messed up on the link to "Part 7." Here it is.
Comprehensive, touching all the bases and your typical excellent work.

When it comes to the Beak on the base of the speaker stand, literally!
I've been on Xanga since 2005. I've been blogging about the Element Fire for two months. My readers' e-mails regarding the Fire have set a new record for enthusiasm, encouragement, and thumbs-up. As one guy wrote, "Our tongues are hanging. We can't wait for more!!!"
And I've been told, "You've even outdone yourself!"
My readers have read and re-read my posts. But the bottom line is, they know enough from the posts, to reject (or investigate further) the Fire. And that's really all we can ask of a review.
I agree it is strange. What is your goal Luminator? I am surprised that anyone would post pictures of people or that it is even allowed.
Lumy has been a registered inmate since 2000 and has been posting blog entries like this for years and linking to them for years too. He may be eccentric, and his reviews unorthodox, even a bit cringe-worthy at times perhaps, and there's no way to convince someone to like or dislike them, but for what it's worth, a lot of us have enjoyed them over the past decade plus and have learned quite a bit about dozens and dozens of products in a true home environment. Of course YMMV! :-)

This is the weirdest posting with pictures I have ever seen. I am surprised the moderators even allow this.....
