Hi, I bought a set of used Salon 2 speakers. The seller sent me only 2 jumpers WBT 0725. It takes 4 jumpers (one for each set of posts) He told me that it was my problem not his, that's all he had. I was told by Revel that those aren't the right ones. It's something else and they are 100 bucks each, so that's 400 in jumpers. I was wondering if someone who owns the Salon 2s could look at your jumpers and tell me if they are WBT 0725. Revel gave me a part number of N362169-001 $91.07 each ULTIMA2 SHORTING STRAP (1)
Thanks, Ryan

Ryan wants what he thought he was paying for. So, whether $400 means a lot or is a drop in the bucket, if when he made the agreement he thought he was getting everything that came with the speaker new such as spikes, owner's manuals and yes, straps, then I think he is not unreasonable to expect those items. Now, if there was a limitation, that is a different story, but his post does not sound like it.
Ryan, if it is possible to give the seller negative feedback, you will be doing the rest of us a favor, but that is probably all you will be able to do. For sound quality, I agree with the rest of the posters.

Dang I didn't think I get such a hell fury for wanting the jumpers that are supposed to come with the speaker that I paid a fair price on the used market. The guy who sold them only sent me one single set of jumpers and I couldn't even play the speakers right when I got them since I didn't have any jumpers or an extra set of speaker cable. He acted like it was nothing and not his problem either. I was kind of shocked to find the jumpers cost 400 bucks. So yeah I think they should be included or should have been mentioned before the purchase that they weren't included. I didn't haggle on the price. I don't want to have to tell them person I'm selling them to at some point that I don't have the original jumpers. So weather I use them or not doesn't mean they should come with the speakers. I'm not using the spikes yet either but that doesn't mean I don't need them with the speakers. The guy frankly has been an **shole about this whole thing so at this point yes I'm either getting the jumpers or giving negative feedback.
I was just really looking for an owner of Salon 2s to confirm the jumpers they have. The guy is telling me they are WBT 0725 and those are only 25 bucks each the guys are Revel told me something else. I'm just trying to figure it out. I wasn't looking for a lecture just a little info sounds like everyone who posted doesn't even have the speakers.
I think your over reacting a little. Most people who have this caliper of a system would almost always bi-wire and that's why you’re seeing those responses. I agree that if you purchased something that was rated a 9 or as new and says boxes, manuals, all accessories included. You should have received them. If that's the case maybe you can compromise with the seller to resolve this amicably.
You say you got one of the original jumpers, that means you only need 3 = $300. My opinion is ask the seller to split it %150 each....
It’s not worth getting upset over, these are great speakers and enjoy them to the fullest....
I notice that you have some very expensive gear in your system(s), so 400 bucks for a set of jumpers might seem like nothing to you. Spending 400 extra bucks on replacement jumper cables may not reap 400 extra bucks at resale time. You'd be lucky to get 100 extra bucks at resale time because of the new jumpers. So may I assume that, for you, this entire thing is a more about pride than profit? If I was someone who spends big bucks on speaker cables then I would probably want my expensive jumper cables to match my expensive speaker cables. If/when it comes time to sell the speakers, I would simply tell the prospective buyer, "For optimum sound, your jumpers should always match your speaker cables...". Such a statement may or may not be true, but because it *sounds reasonable* we can feel optimistic.
Provide your buyer with a cheap set of jumpers for *temporary use* and be done with it. By depriving potential buyers of the original set of jumpers, you might actually be doing them a favor!
Another possible option would be to sell the speakers set up for "single-jumper biwiring". Cable guru John Risch here at AA recomends this grounding scheme when biwiring. This involves connecting the "negative" speaker terminals together when biwiring ("positive" terminals without jumpers). I have tried it and I know that it works and sounds just fine. Maybe, it even sounds *better* that way? Be the judge and try "single-jumper biwiring" for yourself...

You tell us how good those speakers sound!, What you replaced? and your thoughts....
Well you could always have bought new...
The price of those things is in keeping with the high cost of nonobtainium these days.
I would buy them now as Revel is part of Harmon and they don't stock spare parts for very long, presuming, of course, you intend to keep your speakers for four or five years.
Just bi-wire the speakers as intended and you should be fine. Most (but not all) benefit from NOT using jumpers.

Don't panic:Just make another set of jumpers of your favorite speaker cable

I'm not panicking I just want the jumpers that are supposed to come with the speakers. I don't want to deal with this when I sell them. I will biwire anyway
I have bought many speakers with two sets of binding posts that didn't come with the jumpers. I wouldn't sweat it, I don't think that's a deal breaker on the used market.

Seriously? And you're not even going to use them?
Worry about it if/when you sell them. The new buyer, like yourself, may not care.
