I have hardwood floors and I'm getting a good amount of rattling from my Hsu subwoofer. Is it a terribly bad idea to put a folded cloth sheet underneath the sub to dampen the floor and wall rattling?

What's rattling? Is it the subs or the China in the cabinet?
I use a 2' square by 4" thick flat foam patio chair cushion (cheap at Walmart) with a 2' square by 1/2" thick piece of MDF on top to set my cylinder subs down upon.
See ya. Dave

Sometimes the simplest answer is the best.
"You can’t know what the “best” is unless you have heard everything, and keep in mind that given individual tastes, there really isn’t any such thing." HP
I've heard of folks using towels for that, but I would recommend a SubDude.
A big +1 on the SubDude. I had a similar problem with one of the subs in my home theater. The SubDude corrected it instantly.
Cheers,
Al
