Received these free speakers from a neighbor who is moving. I have an existing paradigm setup, but mine is a bit newer.
I am not sure how these compare to my titans. I plugged them in, they sounded nice and full, clear, they're working, etc... However, the titans I have, albeit smaller, are newer tech. Not sure I'd switch to these new speakers as the cabinets are wood grain, not matching anything else, but maybe these will get some rotation in another part of the house?
Any thoughts on this model of paradigm? Compared to my newer Titans? Got 'em for free, so not sure I'd sell them, but any thoughts in value?

I had a pair of 3SEs in the early 90's and I loved them!!!! Mine were 3SE (no MK2) slightly different - Vifa tweeter & ported in the back, woofwr looks the same but I think crossed over a little lower (1.8Hz) but they sounded great. I remember listening to some Titans at SpeakerCraft and preferred the sound of 3SE
I'm not going to be any more helpful than the other guys but I had a pair of Paradigms that had a million db spike at 140 Hz, rendering them unusable. They hooted so much that I couldn't tell what song was playing.
A while after that I saw a recent pair of their top-line or near top-line speakers, dual woofers each side, big dagmars on the woofer cones, at the thrift store for $25 the pair, take 'em away. The store staff probably saw the shiny dagmars and figured that these can't be serious. I didn't buy them.
On the other hand, I am delighted with my first-run Atoms (with capacitor upgrade).
They look almost exactly like a pair of Paradigm Phantoms I had in about 1992-93 they sounded very very nice as along as you didn't do like i did and way over power them. I actually tore the spider from driving them so hard , Speakercraft , the store I bought them from was nice enough to honor the warranty even thought it was obvious I did it. They were a very nice sounding speaker though if they sound like the Phantoms you would be happy. the certainly are clones of mine. I ended up purchasing the Paradigm 11seMKIII's and was able to run them just as hard and loud as I wanted and never had another problem Like I said ....... Clones :^)
I've had a few pairs of Paradigm speakers. I don't know what material (poly formula) their woofer cones are made of - but they sound very natural and open. Not the last word in bass performance, but hey that's what a subs for.
For an economical speaker I am very impressed with them. If you can use em - keep em. Otherwise there better than most if you aren't hung up on labels and names. Enjoy
