i am looking to buy a soundbar but can't decide on one mostly because of my ignorance (i don't buy things unless i understand them fully to compare effectiveness vs cost)
so my choices are:
harman/kardon sb16
sharp ht-sb600
vizio vht510
haier sbev40 slim
polk audio surroundbar 6000
please help, and i know its a lot to ask but explain why if you can >_<

Your best bet is to go listen to them and find the one you feel sounds the best and is within your budget.
Hi,
I don't mean to seem impolite, but the Audio Asylum is oriented toward so-called "high-end audio", so it's unlikely you'll find very many people who can advise you about soundbars. Those are outside of the area traditionally covered here.
However, there is a forum called avsforum.com which has a sub-forum specifically dedicated to soundbars. That's probably the best place to go for information. Click on the link below to check out that forum
I have the exact same post on there already for 3 days w/o even one reply :/
It's funny, there really is no "best" in this audio game we play. It's all about budget and preference. So take the advice I gave earlier, set a price point listen to a few around that point and buy the one you think sounds the best to you.
