Anyone here have experience with the C-1's. I'm looking for a sub.
Follow Ups:
Like you, I was thinking about buying a sub for my C-1s. I simply decided for the same brand. Just then the Dynaudio withdrew their old models from the sale and was preparing a new model of the Sub 600 (now they produce the Sub 250 Compact also). Then I read the John Smith's book Get Better Sound, which convinced me that for the stereo system (I use it only for listening music) two subs are better than one. In this case, it seemed better to me if instead of buying two subs I replaced my C-1s with C-2s (have not realized yet).
Add sub-bass to your room as well as funds allow, two sub-woofers sound much better than one, but a single sub in smallish rooms can work well if the three typical peaks can be equalized.
Then match speakers to subs - speakers should be able to reach one octive below the sub cross-over point for seamless intergration.
Have fun
