Hello,
I want to bi-amp my system and have one Dynaco ST-70 amp (70 wpc monoblocked) pushing my mids and tweeters and a second one pushing my woofers and sub. My speakers are Infinity Quantums my sub is a Cerwin Vega. I have two questions. First, are the ST-70 enough to push both the woofers and the sub. Second (this might sound stupid), I have a nice electronic crossover that I use to have in my car. Can I use that to route the signal from the preamp to the amps? If not, does anyone know of I good crossover at a reasonable price?
Thanks

First, is the Dynaco enough? Probably, unless you like it real loud, and if it isn't then get a separate sub amp. As to the crossover, you'd need to come up with a power supply for a car unit, so better to get one designed for what you're doing. One source is www.musiciansfriend.com. Analog units available for around $100, but go digital if you can afford it. Assuming that another amp may be in your future get one with a separate send for a sub.
