Jeff I appreciate your input but I'm going to build one ....heck Tom M talked about it too....I have a feeling that a pset amplifier gm70 or even a single gm70...will power my large Fulton just fine
Remember we used and still use a little 25 watt SS to real good effect as you know power is not everything but passing the musical information in a dynamic realistic way is what counts
I am not a spectral fan at all yuk sorry no offense
P.s I listen to my pset 1626 on my fathers altec Valencia every night very dynamic but certainly not my big Fulton speakers

Guys have a great night 👍👍👍

When you settle on an audio circuit, tubes, currents, contact me and I will give you " my take " on a supply for same .
Here is what I will say, as soon as you go above about 3 Watts on SE amps, you are compromising, versus a 3 Watt or less SE amp. However, it requires high efficiency speakers, to HEAR these differences.
In your low efficiency speaker load, one is forced to use bigger tubes. So, the question becomes, can YOUR PSET design beat the best-designed of today's solid state amps.
Have fun with it !!

Hello Jeff !
I hear what your saying my friend and I will take any information that you have to make it really good
I started I out building idht set amps 16 years ago I moved away fro them because Ithey were not good enough plus all the other amps I heard my best hands down but still would not pass muster!!!!
I want to build and play with a gm70 drivin with a Russian 41pl simple 2 stage amplifier
This should be a good start for my preamp I still want to use my hk430 because it has a fantastic tuner and I can eaisily run low level outputs to the amp
