I've always loved that guy, even though his music isn't up my alley. Back in 1971 or thereabouts, I saw him interviewed on one of the daytime talk shows of the time (Merv Griffin, maybe?). He was brilliant. My mother walked in during the interview, listened for 2 minutes and said "That man should be President."
Happy listening,

Fascinating article about a fascinating guy. I didn't know Bill stuttered as a young man. I'm a stutterer myself and am always amazed and heartened when I hear other stutterer's stories. It's incredible, given his level of achievement, how well-grounded he seems, but when success comes to someone a little later in life, like it did to Bill, the values instilled by a good family life and lessons learned have more of a chance to take root, I think.
...so was Carly Simon.
Wow-
What a story.
Bill managed what few others have - he got out alive!
Thanks
Happy Listening
