Odd selection, indeed.
it is nice to pay respect to the masters, but I find this version unlistenable. Sounds like a country and western version.
I wonder why they picked this song? Brown is a country rock type and the Foo Fighters are a rock band. I would think they would cover one of their own songs? Similar to the Crossroads TV series. I was rocking to the tight instrumental playing.
stupidity.
I remember buying their first album. Took it home and listened to it. Freaked me out. To dark and demonic. Gave it to a friend. Wish I had kept it now.
..but I did this better at a karaoke bar than these guys did. At least I didn't stumble over the words.
How drunk do you need to get to try and sing a Black Sabbath song?
He's not exactly known for having a great singing voice.
I caught part of a video from Oz Fest. It was the reunion of Black Sabbath. I thought they all nailed what I remember. Ozzie actually sounds clear and good. Amazing since he sounds mush mouthed when he gives interviews. I made the comment about being drunk because I don't know any males who would do Karaoke.
Just forget there's people there and immerse yourself into the song. If it's a song you really love and it moves you at home then there's no difference.
better than some of his contemporaries, Ian Gillan for example.
d
Ian just can't do it anymore. Saw Judas Priest last month, and Rob Halford sounds amazing.
