For those with iTunes find your way to the festival lineup page, Imelda is listed as opening for Tony Bennett. Talented singer with a very sharp band. Stick around for "Johnny got a boom boom". Also watched Robert Plant - good, but a little too dark for the masses. Some weird instrumentation and singing going on.
Any others worth checking out?
Follow Ups:
Beck is always worth a gander. Some of the best SNL performances ever.
But the room sounded like shit... very cold and sterile. Another clue that the industry has a major blind spot regarding sound quality and obviously the artists aren't demanding a better product. Especially someone like Beck who knows better as "Sea Change" is a sonic masterpiece and one of the best sounding modern recordings (SACD) in my catalog.
Here's my fav Imelda May video... with the "other" Beck that's not too shabby:
One of my all time fav's. She looks like she is having a ball. Pretty good SQ on the video also.
