Nice to see Christine rejoin them.
Follow Ups:
And it's nice to see Christine McVie getting out and about with the band. That said the last thing I want to do is to pay big bucks to watch a bunch of old folks rehash 30-40 year old radio hits.
But I am sure lots of people will enjoy the show - and there's nothing wrong with that!
Give me rhythm or give me death!

If that were the case, I wouldn't see much live music.
There is a reason it's called "classic" rock.
Although I probably won't go see them unless my wife drags me...
Are you calling me old? I want the old Mac. Danny, Christine, John, Mick. That won't happen but maybe a decent recording will come out of it?

I enjoyed the post Peter Green/with Christine Mac. That was pre Buckingham Nicks.
the Jewish rockers who changed their names to Gentile-sounding.
Peter Allan Greenbaum. Why didn't he leave it? I don't know of any anti-Jewish sentiment among rock audiences?
What a band..
I thought she didn't do much until then play on?
on piano
Yes, very good indeedy. I love the 4 LP box set, I don't love the split seams on 2 of the album covers :(

maybe the finest song that came from the FM 'middle years'.
As I wore-out three vinyl disc copping Greenie's riffs --- throughout the years. I have four CD's of this album around the house and in the car. Pious Bird, Mr Wonderful, PG's FM, and English Rose where amazing albums.
I really like the Bob Welch-Danny Kirwan era, too. Future Games and Bare Trees. Mystery To Me. Even some of the Lindsay Buckingham stuff. Like "I'm So Afraid."
FM had some of the best and most creative guitarists. And a rock solid rhythm.
The Blue Horizon Box Set is very nice. Maybe not the best audio quality in places, but some wicked, memorable riffs. Blues guitarist Bible.

his first several albums were killer.
vintage (pre Fly Like an Eagle) Little Stevie Miller. Good condition vintage Miller is absolutely Unobtanium. What I bought back in the day is all I've got and I've been a dedicated Garage/Estate Sailor and thrift store junkie for over a decade.

at Amazon vendors on CD. Thank God.
I, like many, had a large collection of LPs of "classic" music. However, unlike many, mine were kept in pristine condition; I always had record cleaners, top flight cartridges that endlessly were calibrated, and a "hands-off!" policy with girlfriends and roomies. So, what happened to all this bounty?
I gave it all to my music lovin' sis-in-law. After the divorce, I haven't seen her in 25 years.
Sigh.
every release ever and the Blue Horizon box is good. As are all the early English blues period records. Their rhythm section was just monstrous and the guitar talent and the combos that plated guitar together over time was stunning. I loved the Bob Welch stuff too, his solo work is also good as in most of PG's Splinter Group material.
Have you heard Mick Fleetwood's The Visitor? Recorded in Ghana.
"Recorded in Ghana in 1981, Mick Fleetwood's solo debut reveals more diversity and depth of feeling than any of Fleetwood Mac's multi-platinum monsters. The Visitor topped out at #43 on the Billboard charts. Guest musicians on the album include George Harrison and Peter Greenbaum (AKA Peter Green). Wounded Bird. "
The very first rock album with African musicians on it recorded there.
a snoozer, a money grab in an attempt to capitalize on the Fleetwood Mac brand. It was quite impressive.

I liked his drumming and Peter Green.
And I had enjoyed another African record for many years, Missa Luba and wanted to hear similar material. I first heard this in the coffee houses and hangouts in the mid 1960s. I still play it today.

I need to spin some Chicken Shack to celebrate.
