Just heard some of this.
May be one of the worst albums of all time, especially when Reed starts singing. And I like some of Reed's early stuff.
Though thanks to Yoko Ono, Reed can never attain the summit.

for posting this.I concur completely with your assessment after attempting to listening to this. But ,I really,really want to thank you for posting this because I ran across the Metallica and SF Symphony live album and it just blew me away.

Very odd combination. Even in his VU days, Reed & Morrison never tried to make that wall of heavy metal sound. More of an electric-hip folk bar band sound. Kinda thin tone, lacking heavy bass or drums.
Certainly not a sound that would be mistaken for Black Sabbath.
