Direct Mode doesn't work anymore.
AV+ told me that the " Faulty kernel extension IO Audio Family.kext" must be replaced with the one
from El Capitan.
Anyone know how to do that?

MC21, Decbel and HQ are unaffected.
I emailed Jussi at HQ, he said each designer has their own way to access Core Audio, and HQ is fine in Sierra.
Unless you bought a brand new Mac with macOS Sierra already on it, I would have delayed installing the new OS upgrade for at least several months. That's pretty much a given with any new OS release from any vendor.A faulty IOAudioFamily.kext is causing various audio related issues that I'm sure Apple will soon fix. You can 'fix' it yourself by copying the old IOAudioFamily.kext from your Mac OS X El Capitan to your new macOS Sierra. Of course this assumes that you've kept a backup of Mac OS X El Capitan around somewhere.
And then you'll need to know how to work within a terminal screen and deal with user permissions while copying the IOAudioFamily.kext folder from El Capitan to your new macOS Sierra.
I know how to do it but it is beyond the scope of this post to instruct others on the basics of macOS (UNIX) command line. Besides, if something broke I would feel awful for you, and me! If I were to do it on my own system and it broke, I would know how to easily revert back to a previous good state.
You may want to wait for Apple to fix it or visit a friend or shop familiar with the terminal and command line. It's really pretty straight forward.
Kext files are basically drivers for macOS. "Kext" stands for Kernel Extension. Kext files "extend" macOS kernel, the core part of the OS, by providing additional code to be loaded when your computer boots.

From the AV+ Website:macOS 10.12 Sierra
Apple has just released macOS 10.12 Sierra that has a regression that breaks Direct Mode.
Until they fix it, or I find a user friendly workaround, you have to disable Direct Mode (option in Audio System page of preferences) to get playback to start. In Audirvana Plus 2.5.4, it is disabled by default.
If you are Terminal-savvy, there is a way to get it back: you can replace the faulty kernel extension of 10.12, IOAudioFamily.kext, located in /System/Library/Extensions, by the one from El Capitan 10.11.6, if you have a backup. You may need to disable SIP during this replacement operation.Other than this Apple regression that breaks Direct Mode, Audirvana Plus 2.5.4 is fully compatible with macOS 10.12 Sierra.

I have a good Computer Shop to got to.
I never had EC, stayed on Yosemite&Mavericks because of Finale issues.
I'll call the shop and see what they say.
I'll copy your response here if they think they need it.
Many thanks.
just wait.
I have other Software I use a lot that is upgraded for Sierra, so I went for it.
No issues with HQ, so no real biggie for me.
