Has anyone compared the Wyred 4 Sound Recovery vs. the Intona both claim to improve the function of the USB connections.
Follow Ups:
Have used both and they both did things well but the Intona in my system was clearly more musical. Although USB cables can make or break either device. It's really amazing how something for so little $$$ (compared to even the cost of USB cables) can make such a nice improvement.
I've owned/used the Regen and Recovery. Both improved the sound of my digital playback (Auralic Aries into Lampizator DAC). I also found that the Recovery made larger/better improvements than the Regen. FWIW: both respond positively to improved PSU.In addition: IME on both the "solid" connectors sound better than any USB cables I've tried, including the Curious USB link.

My chain consists of;
Bryston BDP-2> Intona> PSLANRover> Intona> Recovery> Mutec> Mutec> PSDirect Stream Dac.
All usb cables are Curious and I am using a linear power supply on the Recovery and the PS LANRover.
I know, I know simple is usually better but honestly all of these usb devices have added sound quality to the chain. Remove one and the sound quality suffers.
Order of magnitude;
1. Mutec-3+USB
2. Intona
3. Recovery
4. PS LANRover
I used to own a couple of the Regens but sold them when I heard the Intona.
Also, I sold the IFi 3.0 usb because they did not improve the chain.
Agree, but I'm sure it's system dependent to a certain extent.
I didn't hear any improvement with my REGEN and I got flamed for posting about it by all the REGEN fanboys. I sold it but I still own my Intona which is noticeably more effective in my setup.
The Intona made a slight but noticeable improvement in my setup compared to the REGEN. I have not tried the Recovery.
Have not heard the recovery but have heard almost every other device to improve the USB connection and the Intona had the biggest improvement in sound. I highly recommend it

Same here in my setup. I kept the Intona and sold my REGEN.
Look at comparisons.
Your comparisons have been based on using the short cables or solid (not so) connector supplied for the various devices.
By ditching these cheap connectors for decent usb cables, the sound qualities change substantially, and your preferences may well change.
This is certainly so with the Regen and iFi USB3, both of which need to be powered by excellent power supplies for best sound.
