Simple...because nobody wants to 'feel' a hot laptop. If anything they would put heat shields to insulate the case from the inside heat.

Warn is fine if it is explained.
Class A amps are HOT.
For us warm is fine...but for the average consumer. Cool is best, they don't want to feel the slightest bit of heat.
Of course you make your product to satisfy the largest audience.
Normal consumer sales strategy:
1)Give them what they want.
2)Give them what they need.
3)And at least 10% should be what is called "Suprise and Delight" this is something over and above what they expected or wanted.
The "Surprise and Delight" is the real challenge. This is something that companies have to continually come up with, a new look, a new feature, etc. At the same time they have to keep costs down to maintain profits.

A problem with many software based products is a fourth category:

The POLA is important to reduce the "Learning Curve". People are quick to be turned off by GUI's and OS that are unfamiliar.
An example of this is Microsoft Word. Everyone is used to the MS-Word GUI and Menu selection format. Therefore its difficult to move away from that paradigm. File, Edit, View etc.

I turn off most of the features, as well as those in Office.
It seems that they expect everyone to achieve the same level of skill as Secretaries.
