and planting roadside bombs, and lobbing missles into civilian territory and killing people unless they convert islam. Then maybe the "phobia" will end.
Poor, poor terrosists. Can't get no respect no-hows.

The story reminds me the joke about guy who, when being sentenced for killing his parents, asked the judge for mercy because he was orphan. Chutzpah.
I know I have one around here somewhere! ;-)

You're welcome.

The irony is lost on you I suspect
100% lock stock and barrel in a matter of days. Every drop of oil ours as well. Yet we resist the urge to conquer and steal and instead try to help he Iraqi's set up an elected government. As you recall there are aspects of that government we do not like.I'm sick of this "we're killers" crap. Tell it to the widows of the USS Cole.
You are one confused dude.BTW - that "elected government" that you speak of is mostly guys we selected.
What makes you think we're entitled to it? And what the fuck was the USS Cole doing in the Middle East? The US military is supposed to be protecting our borders, at least according to the Constitution.REAL big of us to "resist the urge to conquer and steal"...how very christian of you.
Lastly, what makes you think our feelings about THEIR government should matter?
We are the authority on the ocean. Our mission is to keep the sea lanes open and conduct combat operations at sea (to paraphrase). What they were doing in the middle east is keeping the sea lanes open. Also they (they being Arab countries) gladly let us pull our ships into port. In Dubai they provide buses which take us to their malls and Gold Souk so we can spend our $$ there.
It's called trade.
What makes you think we have the right to decide how who uses sea lanes. The arrogance is overwhelming!Military persons overseas is not trade! Trade may be a byproduct of their being there, but I know you're not so dumb as to suggest our military is stationed all over the world because of the dollars the soilders spend. Are you?
Shouldn't our military's mission be to protect the US borders from attack? (something we failed at more than once). What makes you think we have the right to control the oil, control the sea lanes, and station hundreds of thousands of soilders around the globe? Couple that with our constantly fucking with governments that don't support our economic interests and you know exactly why we are so hated, and ultimately why we were attacked on 9/11.
Our military should stay the fuck out of other country's business and let businesspeople do business. If trade can be worked out, great, but it should not be at the end of barrel. It's attitudes like yours, this feeling that we have the right to what best serves us, that caused 9/11, Cole, etc.
No we're not there for trade but nobody turns our dollars away while we're there. Some countries openly lobby for port of calls. The US Navy will continue to do what it does. You surrender monkeys can suck ass.
I said PROTECT OUR BORDERS! Big difference. As long as the navy continue to "do what it does" along with all the other shit we do for our benefit the rest of the world be damn, you can count on more 9/11s.
