Lew,
Turntable: Trans Rotor Rondino (with Gingko base and cover)
Arms: two Teres Illius (one for stereo; one for mono)
Cartridges: Miyajima Mandake (stereo); Miyajima Zero (mono)
But heck, your system would sound great even if you played your records with one tine of a rusty fork on a turntable made from a Conestoga wagon wheel.

Follow Ups:
Tried to find a Miyajima zero or Be Mono when we were in Japan in October, visiting our son. I did not have time for an extensive search of my usual haunts in Tokyo, but the one store where I once bought an Urushi had never heard of Miyajima. Apparently they are targeted to export, OR the saleswoman wanted to divert me from the Miyajima to something else. Thus I am still deficient in the mono cartridge game, to the tune of one. I did buy an AT ART7.
Hello Lew,
This isn't really relevant to anything, but I also just got back from Japan. I had wanted to visit Stax Kogyo, but didn't have time. They don't seem to be exactly in Tokyo. Actually I didn't have time for much of anything except work, unfortunately.
I wasn't working, but my son scheduled our days so tightly that I did not have time to haunt Akihabara and spend money on toys. I didn't get to Ochonomizu at all, where I like to browse Audio Union and Disk Union (I think it's called). I have seen some great used gear for sale in Audio Union from time to time, moreso than in stores in Akihabara, which tend to specialize in new gear, only.
