I keep collecting performances. Four versions on open reel tape alone (Stravinskyi's own, Ansermet*, Monteux, Goosens). Lost count of the ones on records and CDs. One estimable LP is by Oscar Danon and the Royal Philharmonic on Chesky; don't overlook it.
* Avoid the iconic Ansermet on tape (where it's backed by an equally bad-sounding Rite). I've heard a couple of these tapes and both were SERIOUSLY overloaded in the bass, especially the Rite. Boom city.
Follow Ups:
That is a great recording, but the Chesky is nearly impossible to find. Original issue was on Readers Digest "Treasury of Great Classical Music", which is worth having for a number of other nice things, as well. Sound is very good, maybe even a little more natural sounding than the Chesky, which can come across as a little "Hi-Fi".

Agreed, which is why I love the Dorati/MSO Mercury. Nothing soft-edged about that one.
BTW, that photo on the Dorati mono Petrouchka was also used on the Schwarz/Seattle recording on Delos. Of course, by then, the art department had discovered Photoshop! ;-)
are the 1945 Re-Orchestration for smaller Orchestra.
I like the Sumptuous original.
My first experience with the "sumptuous original" was the Mackerras performance (I think on the Vanguard label) which I had on a Barclay-Crocker open reel tape.
Petroushka, doesn't say which version.
Also a 2012 16/44 with Swartz, includes the Miraculous Mandarin ( Suite I presume ).
I'm going to get them and the new London Sym Download.
Guess I'll have a Petrouska Party!
Of course, the reviewer fails to note which version is used - LOL!
I'm guessing, at least the 'Livret Numérique' on QOBUZ viewable in the QOBUZ app which appears to be a scan of the program notes from the CD.
