My fave is Pierre Boulez w Cleveland, but I'll give this one a listen.
I just ordered it.

"I guarantee you that [hi res mono downloads] will not sound the same as on vinyl."
(Framing and perspective conveniently edited.)
BTW, I'm also having my first bouts of upsamling paranoia. To my delight, Felicty Lots Strauss songs are available on 24/96 Chandos, but no way were they recorded that way.
Was over at prestoclassical drooling over all the titles. I sampled Netrebko's FLS' too, but burst out laughing after a few bars. A gritty, Erda-type voice just isn't for me.

Abbado LSO
Boulez CLeveland
Ozawa BSO
Chailly RCO
All of these are better played and better recorded than Ansermet, in my opinion.
Colin Davis and the ACO on Philips is outstanding.
Hands-down, the Dorati/MSO is my favorite Petrouchka, for both performance and sound, which is among the best of the Mercury monos. Worth having just for the demented picture of Nijinsky.
