The local NARAS chapter screened "Alive Inside" last night. It's a docu about the use of music for patients with dementia or alzheimer's. They put headphones on them with an ipod and play music the patient is likely to know. Patients who have been unresponsive or even comatose for years awaken, become aware of their surroundings, and interact with others. It is one of the most moving films I have ever seen. Full film at the link, and on itunes. The film's official site (aliveinside.us) has the trailer and other clips.

WW,
studies have proven that time and time again, Music is a redeemer, if you will.
If they can do this much w/ MP3 file, Imagine what they could do with at least a RedBook CD and decent 'phones
Happy Listening
