Saw the link to this AudioStream report over on SA-CD.net earlier today. Looks as if Qobuz may be entering the French equivalent of Chapter 11. Interestingly, I had just seen a column a few days ago (on Mark Waldrep's HRA Planet site) indicating that their service was now available in the US.

Minimum.
And that's if the DON'T find the funds.
Plus, they are currently selling downloads in the US (that's news), which means they've solved the US licensing issues. That should mean Lossless FLAC streaming services will come to the US market this year which in turn may make it easier for them to raise cash.
Sure hope so!
I also hope you don't mind me having a bit of fun with the situation in my previous post! ;-) (BTW, I hope it did not come across as Schadenfreude - I only realized it might be read that way after I posted! Sorry!)
Streaming Lossless FLAC is coming whether it's QOBUZ or someone else.
Hoping it's QOBUZ as I like their interface MUCH better that Beats(which was so bad I left them once they took over MOG) or even Spotify.
Especially now that I finally have the QOBUZ Mac OS-X app, which is required to stream Lossless FLAC, set up to drop the music to my Marantz NA-7004 in my main system via Air Play.
Had a chance to chat via witter, and later phone, with Ian Rogers, the Beats Music CEO, about the time they announce they were closing MOG. Clearly Beats Music's focus then was 'curation' not search and discover.
It was obvious that he was aware of the need for better quality sound than MP3 can provide. With the wider pipe of 4G/LTE on mobile devices, Lossless FLAC was not unreasonable for the future of streaming music.
Let's hope so.
