Zappa conducting his "Strictly Genteel"
Stravinsky conducting the same:
Follow Ups:
at numerous concerts (only in the tricky bits) I can safely say he was better at it than half the conductors I've played for.
BTW, the song is obviously in 3/4 while Stravinsky is obviously conducting 4/4.
I like them both. Is the Stravinsky available on cd or record? I would love to collect other conductors and symphonies playing Zappa. I saw the San Francisco symphony do one of his pieces back in the '80's, I can't remember which one, but the conductor played it again because it was a new modern piece and needed to be heard twice he said. Zappa was there I saw him in the hall.

but both seem to be interminable.

It's Stravinsky conducting the Firebird, and somebody messed around with the video playback speed:

I thought the video looked a little out of sync. Nice trick.

that maybe stravinsky's image was superimposed onto the music of another performance.
still, that classical music exceeded the pop in satisfaction fore me, but the pop was ok too.

so lest me not judge...
