Thank goodness we've finally come up with an empirical metric for deciding which is the best music. I won't have to waste so much time listening to music in the future.
This strikes me as very much an audiophile, and an American, stance, first the insecure need to numerically quantify the goodness in something and then using the specified criteria as justification of that false premise.

does not apply in my case. As I respectfully disagree with the premise, the metric, and your assumptions about what "our" ears tell us.

There is no accounting for taste, and it isn't necessary to justify your
own tastes. Nor is it necessary to be defensive about your musical
tastes. You like what you like.
