The company is LCH Audio, based in Texas. (lchaudio.com)
I went to the show on Saturday intending to stay until Sunday but then had to leave the same day. The plan was to revisit the better stuff heard the first day for more critical listening on Sunday. Many shows tend to be unkind to most speakers due to the imposed compromises, largely the environmental ones. Dipoles can suffer the most and, sadly, Clarisys and Emminent Technologies may have been among the worst victims of it.
That said, while a pair of Magnepan .7s were not their true self either, they were impressively saved by their pairing with the LCH subs. No other subwoofer pairing with planars -- That I Have Ever Heard -- have so seamlessly worked together. Well, at least with the few selections they ran. My non-planar-fan friend could not believe what was coming out from that system. So, this became a "must repeat" room for Sunday, which we wanted to do with our own music. Unfortunately, it was not to be.
So, on first impressions alone -- which can easily be extremely misleading -- there seems to be a promising alternative in LCH. However, it took two very pricey subwoofers and associated gear to pull the right tricks in that room. Then, in my mind, some technical claims raise questions.
Anyway, I did hear enough good things as to make me more than curious. Perhaps some inmates living in LCH's neighborhood could check things out while we wait for some formal reviews.
Follow Ups:
The Eminent Technology speakers suffered from poor music choices. I suggested other music Saturday Morning which they decided to change to, and the ET speakers really began to sing.
Both of the Clarisys rooms on the other hand, during the demos I listened to, had real issues with bloated nasty bass. Many people say they are great speakers, and they appear impressive, but what I heard made me leave the rooms rather quickly.
Very interesting, I love my .7s with my Rel s812. Using just one and its seamless, tried going for two but I can't break through the WAF.
FAF being Frugal Acceptance Factor. :)
My wife doesn't ask or care about what I do in my room. She knows I'm much more frugal than she is, and wouldn't spend the money easily.
I also run one sub. After some careful placement I find nothing lacking enough to spend the money to buy another (even if I did have the money just floating around).
Placement is key in using one sub (or 2 of course). Placement including the all critical where you sit placement. Moving your seating position can make a huge difference!
She doesn't care what I spend my money on, and I don't care how many shoes she spends hers on.
Its that I am taking over the whole family room with these black boxes, one wall in the whole room, not even the whole wall, about half and one more sub would be too much.
I get that, this is a room invasive speaker/system type!

I have LRS plus a Rythmic 15 in sealed sub. I have an old M&K sub that I brought up to experiment with 2 subs, but determined that the juice (if there was any) was not worth the squeeze. I put the M&K back in storage. My system with the LRS are seamlessly integrated and full bandwidth. Based on my subjective listening and fiddling of course.

I did experiment with another sub I have from another room also. Didn't hear any real improvement, although it was a smaller sub. So it really wasn't worth the extra wiring and complexity, not to mention the WAF.
I guess it depends on your room, some might need it, but others might be just right.
Thanks for filling in the blanks.

Sure thing. That YT video was filmed before I got there. I had the benefit of the "DarkEQ" center settings. :)
Great seeing you at the show on Saturday. Look forward to getting together soon.
The internals don't look too involved compared to what the guy said in the video.
Transmission line with dual flared ports ? Reminds me of the TBISound's passive Megellan subs by Jan Plumber. They sounded good but didn't have a lot of output. When pushed their ports chuffed but sounded good in the comfort zone.

That's not a transmission line. The "line" is not nearly long enough to act in that way.Just another box subwoofer. And a darn expensive one at that. How boring.
