You simply change the connections - what was the negative end of the ribbon (the bottom?) becomes the positive end.

Yes but did those that are listening to the music backwards do this or not and how did it affect the tunes?
you need to reverse its polarity ... otherwise you screw up the ribbon/mid crossover circuit (and it will sound baaad!).

The frequency response shown is for the tweeter only. If you flip the tweeters you must change the polarity of the them. Best done at the crossover.
