Can anyone come up with a competing car that changed sheet metal, and therefore the stamping dies required to make them, after just one model year?
Follow Ups:
I know there were a LOT of changes to model types, in the 1950s. But, not sure about a complete body style, that lasted only one year.
I think ALL bodies lasted 3 or 4 years or maybe more.
Minor changes? to be sure. Trim? Colors? wheel Style? Interior Mods?
But no wholesale die changes.
Too much is never enough
