Consider this ... your school taxes in part fund entry level, Class A minor league football in middle-school. Your school taxes then also fund Class AA minor league football at the high-school level. Your taxes also probably pay for Class AAA minor league football at the college level. The NFL then DEMANDS that your taxes also pay for their stadiums. The NFL teams then, after having had you fund their entire talent development system AND their facilities charge ticket prices that regular people, who've paved the way for them, cannot afford. It is a sham and a perfect example of how corporate America always want to socialize the costs and privatize the profits. I refuse to take a willing part in this ripoff any longer. End of rant. It IS a cesspool of greed and depravity.

Hadn't got to the 'farm system' yet. But you appear to be right. Their exist other football leagues, but the NFL draws so little talent from them that it doesn't count.
Some guys are in a holding pattern in Europe, too, I'll bet.
NFL used to have 'development squads' as part of the team. I knew somebody who played for Denver on one such squad. Actually made a few downs in some real games.
Too much is never enough
The entire NFL is in a downward spiral. If the only thing that keeps it going is taxpayer money then that form of welfare must be stopped. If the NFL can't survive on its own it should be allowed to die a quick death.
Too many teams, excessive expansion, exorbitant salaries, etc. But we, the public, still allow it to happen. If this continues we only have ourselves to blame.
Cheers,
SB
