The Thunder and Raptors win their series and the Sharks and Lightening win theirs? The four teams in the two league finals would beOklahoma City
Toronto, CA
San Jose
Tampa BayThe league's execs and TV networks would be squirming.

If not Toronto, then Cleveland? San Jose = Bay Area. Tampa Bay = Floriduh. Oklahoma City = Arkansas through Texas, Kansas and half of the southland.
True, its not New York or LA, but I see no suffering coming on. Fandom isn't regional any more.
People would watch Cleveland, the 17th market in size for LeBron. OKC is the 45th market size wise. Why would they draw from Texas and the nearby south when Dallas and Houston have had teams much longer?
Florida doesn't support its teams much. All their NFL teams have experienced black outs in the last few years and don't sell out for eight home games. The Rays and Marlins play to very small crowds. When you watch games there you can hear umpires calls and in Miami the loud umps even echo it's such an empty cavern. The Lightening do well attendencewise. I will bet the ratings will be lower this year for the NHL and NBA.
OKC is playing great while GS is playing like shit, that series is over. The record season team chokes big time. LeBron teams have never lost to OKC so it will make for a good final. Toronto has no chance.
Market draw expands to include what there is to draw from.
People don't stop watching because their favorite (and closer to home) was eliminated.
I don't undersell the worth of Durant and Co. These guys are on the map.
Mmmm, no they won't. Folks in DFW area couldn't care less about the Chunder, I mean Thunder. They might watch because they have interest in the NBA playoffs, but NOT because its the Thunder.
Texans generally hold Okies in low regard.
My money is on Bernie. He's got it. That's why Hillary won't get into the ring with him. She knows she's a loser. And Bernie should never show up on TV without his hair combed. Hillary's got that whole visual image DOWN, and Bernie's team needs to pick up the ball on that!
:)
True fans watch, big numbers come when common folj jump on the bandwagon. Not gonna happen this year. Numbers will reflect that.

I agree with you.
73 wins and no championship doesn't even compare to 72 wins and the championship.
Meat; It's the right thing to do. Romans 14:2
Yes if/when they lose they'll be chastised. It will get mentioned every time a team underachieves ever after.

I don't know if big market cities make that much difference. When LA Kings beat the NY Rangers, in 2014, the ratings weren't that much higher than last year's Chicago versus Tampa Bay. although, I know Chicago is big city, with avid fan base.
I hope the darn Kings do better next year...

Speaking for us here in Canada (I was appointed, did you hear?), we don't mind the Sharks or the Lightning. Both decent teams we'd be happy to see in the Finals. The Sharks have got a lot of hype up here this season since before it started, the beginning of it was disappointing, but it's come along... Tampa Bay we always find interesting, I wouldn't be surprised if half their fans at the home games were Canadians. As for Pittsburgh...of course!
I think it'll come to fans hoping for particular players who are "deserving" to finally win a cup (so many of them), or for old favorites (in Penguin's case).
Edit: if the Raptors get past the Cavs...I'll go buy a lottery ticket. We really only expected the Raptors to win one game against them in the series, but they have actually done fairly reasonably against the Cavs during the regular season, it's the playoffs where the Raptors mostly have the bad rep.
