I got a DAC, I am not needing, a Yaqin K9.
Free to the regulars, on inmate central.
Chime in if you have a need, I will respond via inmate mail. It is Russian roulette, if you are interested let me know.
Just because it is free shit no need to chime in, really explain a need for it to me and I'll send it UPS.
Follow Ups:
I temporarily moved my Nakamichi that used to sit on top of the ReQuest and installed the K9 ...which sounds very nice ! Much smoother on top than using the analog out of the ReQuest. Far more enjoyable listening !
I'll need to buy some sort of a rack to house the ReQuest, the DAC and my Nak. There is no room for it all in the main rack, so I have it on the other side of the room, which isn't far away as the room is quite small.
Here's the rest of the system ...
I'd say this system is done !
Thanks Steve !!
I greatly appreciate your generosity and am sure I will enjoy the DAC for a long, long time.
I almost feel guilty owning this system. Both the table and the DAC were given to me by forum members, as was the Signet cartridge body. You just can't beat the Asylum !

Old BulletHead post (see link to AA post).
Now I am even more luscious. I gained some more weight since then, and lost more hair.
Unless you have your own fleet of private jets we can take to your castles, I'll have to pass on any more interest,
The post was about people interested in my DAC, not general interest.
your flippant response simply adds to your SuperModel allure.
General Interest?
:)
thanks for the compliment, it means a lot to my supermodel ego.
People are what makes audio great.
As long as those people have the right gear, I'd have to agree!
...I've got a media server that could use a better DAC.

you can email me...and then we verify here that that is you because you don't accept unsolicited posts either :)
maybe put a code word in the correspondence and reply here with that, lol...
glad you can find a need for it.

Lol, it is getting shipped shortly, UPS ground. Thanks a lot , glad it could be put to good use :)
I have a second one I use in my main system, I think you'll love it.
In my home office system I use either vinyl, cassettes or FM. Vinyl sounds best (of course), but isn't conducive to getting work done as I have to get up frequently to flip or change records. So, the tape deck and tuner are used far more often.
I picked up a ReQuest server a while back and have loaded several hundred CDs onto it, but it's top-end needs taming.
Hopefully the K9 will be just the ticket. I'll let you know.
Is optical or coax the preferred connection ?
Many thanks !

It has USB up to 16bit 48khz, optical up to 96khz and Coax up to 192khz.
I use the one in my main listening room with Coax, and Toslink no problems.
Tube buffer is only active on RCA outs, if you use balanced output only the opamp section will work, with the remote if using RCA you can switch between tube buffer and opamp to tell the difference.
You can get yourself a 12AU7 tube if you don't like the stock tube. I use an electro Harmonix 12AU7 tube in the one I have in my main system no problems.
Yes the buffer smooths out the digital artifacts a lot.
It uses a mysterious Chinese DAC chip which no one knows what it is, but it sounds great, I am glad you will give it a good home, feel free to tell me what you think after spending some time with it ;)
