... Good luck with it all, mate. I wish you a speedy recovery.
It's been a good day here. A bright sunny winter's day @ 24c. The Swans had a good win as did my Sea Eagles.
We've had a quite a lot of rain lately which springs the plants into action. Though it makes a mess of the paddocks with some of the harvesting I've been doing.
Also, hopefully we don't get any more surfers eaten.
A lovely day it was for sure;

At least for a long time post-op.
Good luck there, Oz. Sounds routine, but do you have your will made out yet? If not, let me send you my address and particulars for inclusion.
I sure hope no one had to dip into the "truss fund" for this op. Best wishes for a speedy recovery "down under".
... you'll have a swift recovery!
Is it just me or has it taken an extraordinarily long time to get the date?
Busy man.
I am looking forward to it being over, but not to it.

Tim, it's the most painful thing a man can do.
Almost as bad as having a baby!
Man, my wife would kill me if she read that!
Ask for a weeks worth of endone and you'll be OK!
Good luck.
Cheers,
John K
I had a chat with my mother about this a few years back and we came to the conclusion that being kicked in the balls is considerably more painful than child birth.
I will keep that one!
Cheers,
John K
the nurses alone. Wishing you a quick and total recovery...be well.
'to lightly turn ........'
Because it's something I am going to miss for at least 2-weeks and TMFW&F will be being risk averse as well! I can bet on that. 4 weeks?!!!!
....... ;-)!
It's going to be ha_ _ - no it's going to be difficult ;-).
I am also studying a certain ancient but still influential book which we can't mention here, the later half of it this year, and I need to catch up on that, too.
Lots of you tube mil history videos and history DVDs I think and a visit to the public library, as well.
Reading and being kept company by the furries, who are particularly good at snuggling up to the convalescent. Have been in the past.
So, no mentioning nurses, and their cute bums ....... . At least I won't be at the AWM for a 4 weeks.
This IS going to be difficult, isn't it?
Sighhhh!
As long as 4 whole weeks!!!!
;-)!

Well he's / they - are worried about my BP and my IBS as well. And he's going to fix a small umbilical hernia which he noticed. So I will be under just a bit longer. Long time withe the anaesthetist at my assessment session on July 1st.
The inguinal one has also grew some.
Main problem is I have had to drop a lot of sem1. and Winter exam supervising work because I couldn't ask schedulers to work around my possible absence.
After a month the get fit program restarts. I will try to walk a decent distance most days following Trisha. Who is an endorphin addict nowadays, and I will become one too. ? Exercise compounds that lock in just like opioids do.
And just maybe the BP and IBS issues will moderate, and etc.....
How are you two, eh?
I have a long task tomorrow to finish putting plastic pet discourager spikes along the lowish Eastern fences - and the neighbouring block's sheds which abutt the fence a bit higher up! Yep have owner's clearance.
Stupid old grey boofhead seems to be known to the new boy cats on the block who are seeking him out.
That oughta hold yer for a while.

Good luck! They do quite a few of these surgeries these days. Arthroscopic, right?
What's the estimated recovery time?
Healing and recovery from pain 1 week to .......
So, not on my feet for other than short walks to eat, walk to the PC and get on line, and etc, for at least one week. Bed rest and some sun, when it isn't too cold / windy.
We've had an exceptionally cold Winter so far, for SE Australia. Snow on them thar hills.
If I am lucky and no complications, and he has a very good reputation, I can start taking 90 minute tours around the AWM after a month, and start getting fit again.
We celebrated with some nice thick beef steaks last night still pinky-red and crusty on the outside. Cast-iron pans are great, eh?
Thanks.
