"If you are the owner of a new stereophonic system, this record will play with even more brilliant true-to-life fidelity. In short, you can purchase this record with no fear of its becoming obsolete in the future."
And, subsequently, I've been living with a double hernia for years. This will cheer you up:
first day. And he missed one Vas Deferens, to boot. So I was still firing on one cylinder / ball!!A small football in the groin area? Several times.
My oldest friend and best man, came up with this variable saying. "Walk this WAY, Tim." / "WALK this way, Tim." / "Walk THIS way, Tim." / Walk this way, TIM!" ..... IYTMM.
It was eventually resolved by a repeat under a general anaesthetic, at mate's rates by a PRIVATE $$$$$$$$$ Urologist, who wanted to be called Mister, the f&*k, but on his 'public list. So I paid nothing.
But I did lose almost a year while I was studying at uni - mid-life. when I became a tutor / Academic Level A.
Yes, I should have sued our then GP - who did the original procedure - for loss of income as an IT guru, let alone pain and suffering!

"Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination" -Michael McClure
Before my recent colonoscopy (during which the Doc removed a 10 mm polyp), the attending nurse introduced herself. Believe me, she took my mind off the impending procedure - she was totally hot. I almost said "I'll show you mine if you show me yours".
Anyway, the procedure went well. The Doc gave me a bunch of photos of my colon AND my esophagus (sp?) AND my stomach (yeah, I bought the whole package: lower AND upper). Great pictures, but a little too dark. I'd prefer a tad more brightness. I'd post a couple, but I only have them on paper, not digital files. LWR can relate to the importance of the difference between a good print and a great print.
The Doc said I made the right decision in having the Anna's Thesia (I have no idea who Anna is/was, butt she must've been a real knockout), 'cause my colon has a lot of twists and turns, and I might have had "a little discomfort" if I had chosen just the "twilight sedation" - which was cheaper.
Butt, getting to my point, later (after they were all done looking at my very fine ass), he recommended that I go to another Doc to consult about my hemerrhoids. Just fyi, they don't bother me, it's not like they're painful or anything. Butt here's the good part: the hemerrhoid Doc he recommended is a woman. He said I'd like her. We'll know soon. I'll keep y'all updated as things progress.
I just thought everyone here on the Audio Asylum would want to know about my medical condition.
;)
I'm happy that part of the process is nearly finished for you.
I wish you an exceptional surgeon, having a really good day in the middle of a really good week, the brightest and friendliest support staff to be had in a hospital in Oz, and a six-hour total recovery. You might still want to wait a bit beyond the six hours before tossing bags of cement around, though...
Who did the original assessment.Don't know when the surgery will happen, but it can't be long after a pre-admission check up.
Yes it has been a long wait, but we did go away on that cruise, which they knew about since that initial assessment back in March, but it did mean I missed two slots.
I've not only got my fingers and toes crossed, but I will need to uncross my eyes when I drive in tomorrow morning in the frost. There will probably be black ice on the shorter of the two routes.
The letter they'd sent turned up in the mail today!

Hi Dave,
Yes, it is a product of my Irritable Bowel (IBS), and a bout of a really cough-y virus late Winter 2014.
See below.
