I was given a $50 gift card. I got one a few years ago as well. This time it is utter chaos. The card is entered, it shows I have a $50 gift card balance. I ordered 38.91 worth of crap and try to checkout ticking the box to use the gift card balance and it will not allow me to proceed.
While I only waited one minute to talk with their fine customer service team they offered no help. Pathetic. I have ordered things from probably ten websites this week without a problem until now.
No mas Amazon para mi.

Last month I used some Amex rewards points on a purchase. No problem.
In January I got a year's Prime membership for $72 when they were on sale by gifting it to myself and then renewing after my old membership expired.
Just last week I chatted for a couple minutes with an online rep and she price-matched another web site on a motherboard that I ordered. They typically price-match just a few select items.
Ordered a kitchen scale last summer and didn't like the color. No questions asked, they issued an RMA and immediate credit and they paid for return shipping.
Yep, I never had a problem besides the credit card of theirs (Amazon Visa) that I never used other than at their website (I cut up what they sent in the email) which I didn't mention and trying to spend that GC last night.
Credit card issue happened last month. Someone bought food at restaurants in Texas to the tune of $253.00 - it has been credited back to my account. That was all dealing w/Chase and not Amazon thankfully.
