and then they coasted. Announcer: "This potent Denver offense is led by probably the greatest quarterback in NFL history." ~:)

He didn't like the guy's choice of sideline features, or timing of, to display on the big screen, so will have a "talk" with him.
The operator should tell that pouty little shit to take his records and shove them.
And Elway should tell him the same. Manning is a turd personality.
I'm sorry I'd have to add "one of" in front of the greatest. That could change in the future but I doubt it. There are many great QB's that won nothing in the post season, many because their teams seldom (or never) made it to the post season. Mannings teams were there often and his post season stats are pretty bad, no where near like the regular season. The greatest he ain't and if you gave me a dollar I'd bet it on he won't ever be. Nice guy though. I'd take 5% of his net worth.

think so.
Stats are nice, rings are dope.
"Stats are nice, rings are dope."
Such “reasoning” would lead (you) to conclude that Sam Jones was a better player than Michael Jordan since Sam has 10 championship rings while MJ has but 6. As I remarked below, you’re an amusing little fellow. ~:)
Reasoning appears to be a term you need to research.
to be your gold standard for "the best" then why should your standard be limited to football? BTW...Sam and MJ were both guards that were counted on to score.
That said, let's stick to football for a moment. Using your "logic" you are forced to conclude that at this stage in their careers, Peyton's little brother, Eli, is a better QB than his big brother because he has twice as many rings. ~:)
Try and stick to a topic w/out switching sports, now.
pure passer, yes. There seems to be little debate on that score among impartial observers of the game. Cerebrally, I'd give the nod to Joe.
"Try and stick to a topic w/out switching sports, now."
Perhaps you should reread my post. As I wrote, using your "logic," Eli is a better QB than Peyton because Eli has twice as many rings. Pretty simplistic reasoning, isn't it?
Listening to all of the Montana maniacs on here reminds me of my old grandfather ranting that Joe Louis was a better boxer than Ali. The game has changed a great deal since Montana played. Stop living in the past.
Joe played during an era when it was routine to give the ball to guys
like Herschel Walker, Earl Campbell and Eric Dickerson 30-35 times a game, while occasionally lofting a pass downfield to keep the defense honest. It was still the era of the tailback.
Today’s game is more complex. The defenses and offenses are more sophisticated, the players are bigger, stronger, and faster. At Peyton’s age Joe was being led out to pasture, a shadow of his former self, while Peyton is still playing at the highest level of any QB in the NFL. Stop wallowing in nostalgia.
