awe... thanks Jimmy... that was a (so far anyway) one of a kind pair...the nickel stripes are made of a 49% nickel alloy...
your core's total area is comprised of approx 30% of this 49 percent nickel alloy...
confusing, heh?
How is the bass response and the top end extension?
glad your liking them :+)
Follow Ups:
The 45 tubes are well known for strong bass response. The bass is tight within the power demands of the 45 tubes. The high end is precise, detailed and airy with extension beyond my hearing range. I guess it related that excellent high frequencies in the hearing range is related to even higher elements that can cause IMD products. I do not hear anything but quality in these transformers..The amp has three feedback selections. No feedback, 4Db & 8dB of feedback. For most recordings, zero feedback is best. For recordings with strong deep bass, 4dB can tighten up the strong lower bass that is demanding on the tubes at maximum volume. 8dB really has no merit yet.
Of course, I will not move off of my 89dB efficient speakers.
