Bas,
Is that a coating you did or a Mangequest option/standard? Sure looks nice.
Matt
between option. And this was the black oxide coating or something.
Hence my post. How they got it done. Because it would be great to have such a coating.

The bell end caps on Bas' outputs are powdered coated with a textured black paint. We had these done a number of years ago and still have a few pairs of covers left of this style.
Standardly we been spec'ing black oxide bell ends. this is a plain type finish (chemically induced) that has very good corrosion resistance. the advantage is to those who want to pain their own covers or have their covers say chrome plated or etc.
I too love the finish of the covers that Bas chose. Unfortunately, the painter who did these went out of business. Seems every painter I've had
who I liked has gone kaput. It's a tought business with a lot of regulatory inspections and overhead.
In this size cover we also have a silver hammertone finish and a weathered copper finish which just looks a lot more like a green (but very, very pretty).
Thanks for posting the pics Bas. Yours did come out nice.

Mike,
Fair enough its now discontinued. My vote that it's a nice option.

Hi Matt:
I still have more of the same covers in stock as shown on Bas's MQ-565.
