recording device = Zoom Q3 camera (of course no Zoom on the crude camera part but good audio recorder) - it has two audio sensitivity settings - one is too sensitive for speaker evaluation, the other not enough sensitivity. I had to use the high sensitivity setting which can clip at moderate levels.Karlsonator Six with L.Cao 6.5" F6 whizzerless fullrange speaker

funky old Karlsonette (first K12 - 1954) copy with slot port plugged and a 3.5" x 3.75" port hacked in the upper panel and Eminence Beta12LTA . This Yamaha compression tweeter is un-padded and too loud (easy fix with series resistor as it has a built in crossover) - it sounds good with some padding.

Awwww C'mon! Not only are we 'sposed to deduce Quality differences between Speakers.. through our Internet Connections and our Computers' Sound card, our Cheap (or expensive) Desktop speaker setup.
Which is impossibly inconsistent.
Then you even use.. different.. Muzak on each demo !?
Clearly an Apples to Fish comparison My friend
clearly the music and the recording quality if the lowly Zoom Q3 are no worse than most YouTube presentations. Get out yer Stax Ear speakers - lol - seriously, I've seen all kinds of speakers in YouTube videos - some playing - some not playing (where comments seem to think they "are") - i generally give a "thumbs up" just to see someone's speakers.FWIW, xrk971 used something like the Zoom to do fullrange driver comparisons at diyaudio - folks participated and "voted" - even I could guess some of the rougher/brighter drivers from reference track comparison.

Are you running the Eminence Betas full range or rolling off?
Beta12LTA is fullrange - that hot Yamaha tweeter rolls in around 7KHz - a cheap helper tweeter would probably do well enough
