Can someone recommend a supertweeter,to be used above 8kz, to pair with a Fostex 166en? (fullrange driver with listed 94db efficiency)

thanks, guys.
I have a TON of experience here...
Before I resorted to using a super tweeter, I'd remove the dust cap on your Fe166 and install a phase plug. This makes a World of difference.
From there, if you feel you still need a tweeter, the secret is to try a match the polar response of however your FE166 is implemented. This is tricky!
One approach, as alluded to is to roll the tweeter is super high, like 10k. Another approach is to fire the tweeter in a different direction, back up into the corner for some fill or what have you. You'll need to experiment here. Another lesser known approach is to use an older larger diameter vintage tweeter to better match the sonic character of your driver.
You need no spend a bunch of money here.
In the end, you may just find that whatever a tweeter adds is outweighed by the distractions it brings...
Good Luck
Does somebody sell phase plugs for the Fostex, or is it a DIY thing?

thanks! I am going to try these.
Really 50$ a pair = postages?
Own a drill press? Then DIY yer own it's takes ~20 mins work then Sheep dip the things in a tin of Minwax water soluable polycrilic.. Let dry, then Rubber cement or magnet the things onto your pore drivers' centre pole.
If real lazy ? make 'em out of Blue DOW foam, then dip them in the Minwax.
.
I used a 1" soft-dome VIFA tweeter (4 ohm, 94db eff.) crossed over at 10K, with my 8" EV full range drivers.
The model number was BC-something?

You would be hard pressed to beat the performance of the Fostex horn tweeters. Take a look on the Madisound site for more info. Some times you can find a nice pair on Ebay for reasonable cost.
Another good source of tweeters is U S Speakers and Parts Express.
