I've done a search of all the AA forums and not a single mention of this Luxman amplifier. A few posts about a very much earlier M-2000 model.Has anyone any experience of this 25 watt amp? It looks good on paper and enjoys a good maker's label. What is it? Class A, fully balanced, good/bad/indifferent?
It's reasonably priced - currently at £1995 together with its DAC / Preamp sibling, the DA-200. List price is £4000 for the pair.
Thanks
Posted here as this amp only likely to be used by high efficiency speaker owners.

Mr.John Linsey-Hood's designs are high regarded and have stood the test of time. worth looking into. Nelson Pass has modified a version of the ten watt design.
As for Luxman designs the L48A L58A and the L68A are the best mosfet amps they ever designed and ahead of their time.

i don't know about that particular model, but there's a similarly rated luxman integrated amp (L-505u) that's gotten SERIOUS rave reviews at stereo mojo where it received a "maximum mojo" award

and soundstage seemed to really like it too

luxman = japanese high end
hope that helps
I doubt it is class A. The heatsinks don't look big enough for class A. However, it is probably a nice amplifier.
