I saw in a post some time ago that inmate amadare uses it, but i tried emailing him and haven't had a response, so I am asking here. I also asked at the Altec forum and I have had one response. I am looking to see if anyone else has used the miniDSP products in their high eff systems and what were your impressions.
Thanks!

I can't recall if I received an email from you.
I am using mine on a two way application with Azura 425/Altec 288 with a BR cab using Altec 416B for the low end. I have 1st order on the bottom and 4th order on the top for the time being. I like it.
Get the mini DSP with a UMIK-1, then register at "Home Theater Shack.com" to get the free REW program. Play with examples from miniDSP website and go from there. You will spend time to find what you like, but I really think you will enjoy it and learn a lot from it.
Thanks for your response! I can't wait to get my hands on this and start playing with it! I get the mic too and vivst that site!
Thanks again!
I've tried one. I also just got a UMIK-1 mic from them (it arrived this morning) and am using it with REW.
It is pretty easy to get the miniDSP up and running, if you just focus on the basics: using it to replace a 2-way passive crossover.
I have knockoff 604s (P-Audio 15CXHB). I first tried the DSP to send bass to 4*15" drivers that I run to assist the coaxials. That is, I used it as a very flexible subwoofer controller (I think I bandpassed at 20 and 80Hz, with different slopes on top and bottom, and 5dB of boost at 30Hz). It did that job and did nothing wrong. Being a fairly loud / efficient system, I have had trouble in the past when I tried using an analogue active X-over and cheap pro amps (noise floor too high).
If you don't need oodles of power, a miniDSP plus a stereo class D amp (like the one linked) is more flexible and cheaper than getting a pair of plate amps.
I've also used the DSP on a prototype system using 2*12" drivers and a small pro wideband driver in a front horn. Again, it seemed nothing but good, and pretty easy to set up: it provided the crossover & complex eq (notch filters and HF boost) and didn't seem to harm the sound quality. My standards may be lower than yours, of course :)
I haven't got around to experimenting with the delay options, but I intend to... I'd like to eventually build a system which puts a fairly big front horn's mouth + bass drivers on the same baffle / plane, and time align it (delay the bass) with the mini DSP (rather than "waste" the space behind the horn by having it separate).
You could similarly delay the bass section of your 604s to time align them. A possibility is to use the DSP and a cheap class D amp just for the bass driver, and power the compression driver with your bottleheads + passive X-over. The spare outputs on the DSP could then be used to drive some subs, if you ever wanted them.
Thanks for your informative reply! I know the minidsp 2x4 doesn't costs much, but I didn't want to really mess around and throw money left and right on passive and other active systems, and the miniDSP unit looked like a pretty nice and extremely affordable device that coiuld help me at least dial in a passive XO if I wanted to go back to a non bi-amp setup.
Thanks again!
In my limited experience, budget active systems (subwoofer plate amps, analogue X-overs) can be benign or can be horrible, introducing background buzz / hiss. The miniDSP is well at the benign end, cheap, and way more flexible than most.
If you do decide you are a die hard valve lover and hate the DSP for digital sins, I see the worst case scenario being that you to demote it to some secondary use, like running a sub in a 2.1 computer system.
You should also get a mic if you don't have one. The poverty Dayton one + app is very entry level (~$20) but still totally useful for producing FR graphs, negatives being running it with a phone / tablet* and slightly blegh interface.
*you can export the data to a proper computer, but it is a time sucker compared to capturing info straight to your computer
Check over at Klipsch, many users over there.
Thanks djk, I'll check over there too.
