Hi,
I might be able to pick up a pair of the Gaumont Kalee 379 HF drivers from a closed down theater.I am not sure of the condition of the diaphragms. Are replacement diaphragms available for these drivers ?
I would like to know if the Altec 288 diaphragm will fit these drivers?
Regards
Rajiv

You wouldnnt wanna its the lack of altec twinkly surrounds that makes the kelly soperior. That and the flater magnets. Take them two a radian tec and fit some radian frams or just buy some radian drivers and be done with it. Sell da kaley to someone dats want to feel specialer then a radian horn owner for 5 times the money.

The diaphragm is aluminum, has a single rolled surround and is not interchangeable with the Altec type.

Hi,
The GK379 drivers I picked up had damaged diaphragms. I tried to find original replacements but they are impossible to find.To get the drivers to work,I tried the Altec 288 diaphragms.
The Altec diaphragms fit. You have to open up the holes for the locating pins slightly. The locating pins on the GK drivers seem to be very slightly thicker than the Altec locating pins. The screw holes all line up perfectly.
Posting a youtube link of the GK driver with an Altec symbiotic diaphragm. The GK driver is used as the HF driver. The HF driver of the Altec 605 is disconnected.
